Business Travel Show interviewed Francesco Deluca, Omega’s Director of Sales and Client Services EMEA, Omega about technology and TMCs. Omega is the official TMC of Business Travel Show’s hosted buyer program. In the interview, Francesco stated that pricing is not always the top deciding factor in choosing a TMC; companies with an effective procurement methodology consider their experience, integrity, technology, and other factors. TMCs’ use of technology has changed over the years, with the rise of traveler tracking, online booking, and other tools. Francesco believes it will continue to change rapidly in the years to come as companies incorporate the ‘best and newest’ tech, such as new artificial intelligence. “Omega World Travel is ready to launch Duty of Care products to assist travel managers accessing traveler location information via chatbot for smartphones and an Alexa-based voice chat. Such tools will go live once Amazon approves the Alexa functionality, which we expect to occur this month,” Deluca announced.
