United Applies to Serve Tokyo Haneda from Six Leading U.S. Hubs

United recently applied with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for a total of six daily nonstop flights to Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) from the following airports: Chicago O’Hare International (ORD), Houston George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), Guam’s A.B. Won Pat International (GUM), Los Angeles International (LAX), and Washington Dulles International (IAD). Once negotiations with U.S. and Japanese governments are complete and time slots are awarded by DOT, flights are expected to start by summer of 2020. United is proposing more flights to Japan to meet growing customer demand.
