International Women’s Day

Dear Readers,
March is home to International Women’s Day, and we sure do celebrate at Omega! There are lots of related events including The Enterprising Women Magazine Conference, and the WPEO’s Breakthrough Breakfast in New York City March 8. I am honored to be speaking on a panel at a special networking event for International Women’s Day on March 8 at Brand USA’s headquarters with the Impact Travel Alliance (ITA DC) chapter in partnership with Women in Travel and Tourism International (WITTI) and Brand USA. We will be discussing women’s issues and advice we have for women travelers with a networking reception and panel discussion.

I am an enthusiastic supporter of The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and am one of the co-chairs of the National Conference in June. Read more about it here. I look forward to connecting with you at one of these many events!

Furthermore, many have been asking me about staying safe while traveling. This is a new segment on where to travel that is especially safe for 2019. Safety and Duty of Care is our utmost goal for our travelers with the help of Omegalytics and our Omega Go App.
These are especially safe countries in Asia –
• Bhutan – among the safest countries in Asia and is predominantly Buddhist.
• Japan – Tokyo was ranked safest city by The Economist in 2017 and is still very safe!
• Singapore – voted most peaceful destination in Asia by the Global Peace Index and The Economist ranked it as the second-safest city in the world behind Tokyo.

Best regards,
