InterContinental Hotels Group recently launched a new upper-midscale all-suites brand called Atwell Suites. The new target group will be seen as an “opportunity seeker” and uses travel for personal growth. The traveler “views every trip as a chance to discover more.” Each studio will not provide full cooking capabilities but will have a kitchenette, counter-height refrigerators, microwaves, sinks, and coffee makers. The rooms will also be equipped with Wi-Fi, and 55 inch TVs. IHG’s new brand will focus on the US to start and will open in 2021.
