New Airline Partnership

The new partnership between South African Airways and Alaska Air was announced the other week. Now travelers will be able to purchase a single itinerary for travel on both airlines. Connections will be made through New York John F. Kennedy International Airport or Washington-Dulles International Airport. Between Alaska Airlines’ North American network and 75 plus destinations in Africa from SAA, the new relationship will increase convenience travel options including baggage transfers and allowing travel on one single ticket. Executive Vice President- North America for South African Airways said, “This interline partnership will enable SAA and Alaska Airlines to expand their route networks to provide some of the quickest and most convenient connections between many west coast U.S. cities and some truly amazing destinations throughout Africa.”
