Delta is planning on once again expanding Seattle-Tacoma’s International Airport by 5% this summer. This past June was special to Delta and Seattle as it is the five-year anniversary of making Seattle a hub airport. Delta is planning to grow by using larger planes on current routes. For example, flights leaving Seattle to places on the West Coast including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Diego, and San Jose, will have additional seating at peak travel times. Recently Delta added the Airbus A220 plane for the Seattle-San Jose route and will add additional A220 planes in the fall including the new Airbus A330-900neo which features Delta One Suites and Premium Select Cabins. This track record continues steady growth for Delta at Seattle airport, which was made official in 2014. Delta celebrated the inaugural flight from Seattle to Seoul-Incheon International Airport with the Korean Air Delta partnership.
