TSA PreCheck Reaches 10 Million Users

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has recently announced it have attained 10 million subscribers. With over 400 enrollment places all over the nation, since December 2013, this is an incredible milestone. The biggest jump with 18% of increase in membership was from March 2019 to February 2020. This increase in membership was made six months before the October 1 deadline the TSA Modernization Act, which is part of the H.R. 302, the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 or, causing travelers domestically to attain a REAL ID. Travelers who are qualified for TSA PreCheck can also qualify for three other U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler programs, including Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI. TSA Administrator David Pekoske said “Today’s milestone is important to aviation security… the more individuals who are enrolled in TSA PreCheck, the more we can focus resources on individuals who more likely pose a risk to aviation security. It’s better security and a better experience for travelers.”
