Dear Customers,

My staff and I have been conducting weekly webinars entitled ‘Returning to Travel’ for our customers and interested businesses. Since the shutdown in March we have seen many positive steps taken by our travel suppliers to ensure safety and cleanliness. We salute them for their extraordinary efforts.

We are finding that businesses still need ongoing assurances that it is safe for staff to travel and that consistency in standards is paramount. This is the challenge facing airlines, hotels, and car rental companies.

Our surveys reflect the hesitancy, so more communication that could be useful to suppliers is needed between us and customers.

Each time I fly, I notice great innovations and more steps that can be taken to assure the traveler that it is safe to fly.

We learned at today’s webinar that our webinar participants are still wary of staying in a hotel despite the lengthy steps taken and investment made by hotels in partnerships with health providers, HEPA filters, electrostatic sprayers, use of entire property and floors to ensure distancing in elevators and spacing number of occupied rooms on a given floor. One brand seals the door after complete cleaning to give some confidence. A few weeks ago over 60% of participants thought the practice gave confidence; but, just today 67% didn’t think so.

We see attitudes changing and new concerns emerging. So OMEGA is dedicated to keep communication alive; and, would like you to join us on our webinars.

I do believe the travel industry is making progress in making necessary steps that will help to mitigate infection and ensure confidence.

I am impressed by the extra care and patience being taken by airport personnel and TSA/Clear agents to assist travelers. Public places are clean, rest rooms are being cleaned continuously and needed supplies are available. You will see wellness kits; facemasks available; distancing lines; organized boarding processes; sanitizer stations; Plexiglas shields; and, many more touchless procedures.

This last week we have seen an uptick in travel; so, we need to have some good two-way communication that also enables us know your experiences and suggestions.

Lastly, I hope you visit our website OmegaTravel.com for the latest in updates by health providers and travel suppliers. You will note that our OMEGAGO application features the advice to travelers that the website offers; and, moreover, with our new broadcast feature, we can track travelers throughout the world and advise them of health issues and changes. This is a great feature that would have been especially useful during 9/11 when we were able to track travelers’ locations; but, at that time we were not able to do an immediate broadcast.
