United Plans New Central America, Caribbean Routes for December

United Airlines plans to start on Dec. 18 three new routes to Central America and the Caribbean: from Chicago to Guatemala City; from Denver to Roatan, Honduras; and from Cleveland to Nassau, Bahamas. Those flights will bring United's capacity to the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico region, which United VP of international network and alliances Patrick Quayle said "has remained one of the strongest regions for United" during the pandemic, to a level 26 percent higher than what it operated in the winter of 2019. The routes to Nassau and Roatan each are pending government approval, according to United.
