Omega World Travel Forms New Meetings & Incentives Division

FAIRFAX, VA - February 25, 2002 - Omega World Travel, a top-ten U.S. travel management firm, announced today the formation of a new business division: Omega Meetings & Incentives. The division focuses on further expanding the corporate, association and affinity markets for the company. Heading up the division are Malcolm West, Vice President-Client Services and Russ Atkinson, Vice President-Business Development. Both West and Atkinson previously held management positions with McGettigan Partners, the meeting management company located in Philadelphia, PA. "It's clear economic concerns are forcing organizations to take a closer look at their meetings and incentives spend. They want value and they want cost controls. Omega's flexible client-service models and leading-edge technologies, combined with a low-cost infrastructure, offer an unparalleled value in today's demanding market," stated West. "Omega has the worldwide recognition and financial strength to meet the needs of today's customers."

Omega Meetings & Incentives provides comprehensive program and logistics management services for groups of 10 to 10,000 and more. The company offers site selection, hotel negotiation, attendee registration, housing, program management, air/ground transport, on-site logistics, promotional and multi-media services for: User Conferences, Corporate Meetings, Product Launches, Medical Meetings, Incentive Programs, Sales Meetings, Training Seminars, Executive Meetings, Symposia & Retreats. "The operations and technology platforms are firmly established. For example, we can handle international call-center event registration in 14 different languages out of our London operations center—today," Atkinson explained in a recent interview.

The company has invested very heavily in technology over the past few years, as evidenced by the success of Omega's subsidiary, Cruise.com. "It's now time to focus on getting the word out. Our message is simple, we believe too many buyers are paying too much for meeting and incentive services, particularly for program and attendee management. We can do better," said Atkinson. Omega World Travel, headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, is the largest woman-owned business in the Washington, DC area, and is celebrating its 30th year in business. Omega serves corporate, government and leisure clients throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. The company has annual sales revenues in excess of $800 million and approximately 1,000 employees located throughout 200 company-owned offices, including the company's MegaHousing Management Division. Omega Meetings & Incentives is headquartered in Wayne, PA.
