Marymount Manhattan College Honors
Gloria Bohan at the President’s Gala

FAIRFAX, VA – May 9, 2013- Omega World Travel, a fast-growing, award-winning leader in the travel management industry, announces today its President and Founder Gloria Bohan was recognized as a Marymount Manhattan College (MCC) 2013 President's Medal honoree for her accomplishments in business and as a steadfast leader in the travel industry.


The President's Galarecognizes past MCC students that have become successful executives and entrepreneurs and have continued to give back to their alma mater to further the education and support for current students. Bohan was honored as a President's Medal honoree at the 2013 gala awards event at The Plaza Hotel in New York on Wednesday, May 8th. Bohan, MCC Class of 1963 alumna and esteemed Trustee, founded Omega World Travel in 1972 and since then has been blazing trails in the travel industry. She has grown her business from a one-person office to a global operation that is one of the top travel management companies in the U.S, with more than $1 billion in sales and over 1,000 employees.

"I am absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition from my alma mater," Omega World Travel's Founder and CEO, Gloria Bohan states. "I would have not been able to make the strides in my business career without the education I received from Marymount, which is why I'm so passionate about giving back and providing the resources for future students.

In addition to the award ceremony, renowned opera singer and New York Opera Society Executive Director Jennifer Cho performed along with the Saint Patrick's Cathedral Choir baritone, Gustavo Ahualli and vocal and dance selections by Marymount Manhattan College students. The monies raised at the event will augment annual fund efforts to provide need-based financial aid to qualified students.
