Omega World Travel CEO & VP of Technology Participate at MicroStrategy World 2016
FAIRFAX, VA - February 11, 2016- Omega World Travel's CEO Gloria Bohan served as a key panelist during a Q&A session on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the MicroStrategy World 2016 Conference in Miami. Omega's Vice President of Information Technology and Data Analytics, Nadim Hajje, was also selected to participate, and presented on Omega's latest reporting innovation, Omegalytics, later Wednesday afternoon.
MicroStrategy World 2016 spanned three information-packed days and offered more than 160 distinct sessions of outstanding content, 50 different customer speakers, inspiring keynotes, numerous hands-on workshops, and industry networking and relationship building opportunities at the Miami Beach Convention Center. With this year's convention focus being on training users to successfully extract value from big data, build mobile productivity apps, move on-premises analytics to the cloud, and deploy smartphone-based security applications; Omega was able to contribute greatly to the discussion.
On the third day of the convention, Gloria Bohan, Omega's CEO and Founder, served on a panel with other industry experts: Dirk Izzo, Senior Vice President of Global Business Services and Justin Ward, Facebook's Data Architect of Business Intelligence. The experts answered questions from moderator, Susan Cook, which focused on the senior business executives' perspective on the significance and value of current technology applications. Members of the convention seemed to enjoy hearing advice from the experts; including BiScorecard's founder, Cindi Howson, who tweeted a quote from Omega's CEO, "IT needs to understand time is of the essence. Mr. Hajje, Omega's Vice President of Information Technology and Data Analytics, helped conclude the conference with his "Performance Benchmarking and KPIs for External Customers" session. During his time, Mr. Hajje described how Omega has built its own proprietary reporting software tool, Omegalytics, which was selected finalist for Business Travel News' 2015 Most Innovative Product of the Year, to leverage the latest and greatest in MicroStrategy, and how Omega's users (Corporate Travel Managers) have visibility into their travel spend using very intuitive, attractively designed dashboards that provide high level as well as drill-down information. Mr. Hajje also demonstrated other innovative qualities of the tool, including how users can benchmark themselves against other Omega clients to compare performance.
