Gloria Bohan Named Executive Leader of the Year by Nova Chamber of Commerce

June 7, 2019 - Tysons, VA: The Greater Washington Good Business Awards, formerly the Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Awards, took place at 8am on June 7th. These awards celebrate outstanding community leadership and brings together more than 600 business and community leaders from across the Washington DC region. The Chamber Awards, “honors and celebrates social responsibility champions, to nonprofit organizations that help solve the region’s greatest challenges, the Greater Washington Business Awards honors purposeful community leadership, efforts that make a positive impact, and those that do good.”


Gloria Bohan was nominated by her staff for the Executive Leader of the Year Award. The criteria for this award is meant for a Washington region executive for their outstanding contributions to her company and “above-and-beyond” leadership in the community in the past year. The winner will be a longtime advocate for the area and a reputation for offering community support and involvement. Gloria was one of 11 nominees and is so grateful for this award and recognition. Other applicants include leadership from Lyft and AboutWeb.

Gloria has been a pillar in the business community, she is frequently recognized for her work and community outreach. Her list of accolades is impressive – and includes, most recently, was honored at the prestigious American Society of Travel Advisor’s (ASTA)’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and has been inducted into the Business Travel News’ (BTN)’s Hall of Fame. Gloria says, “I am very honored to receive this award from the outstanding leaders of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
